Scottish Natural Gas

One Wee Scottish Farty
(Tae A Fart)

Oh what a sleekit horrible beastie,
Lurks in yer bellie efter a feastie.
Just as ye sit doon among yer kin,
There starts tae stir an enormous wind.

The neeps and tatties and mushy peas,
Start workin’ like a gentle breeze.
But soon the pudding wi’ the sauncie face,
Will hae ye blawin’ a’ ower the place.

Nae matter whit the hell ye dae,
a’body’s gonnae hae tae pay.
Even if ye try tae stifle,
it’s like a bullet oot a rifle.

Hard yer bum ticht tae the chair,
Tae try tae stop the leakin’ air.
Shift yersel fae cheek tae cheek,
Pray tae god it disnae reek.

But a’ the efforts go asunder,
Oot it comes like a clap o’ thunder.
Ricochets arrond the room,
Michty me! A sonic boom!

God a’mighty it fairly reeks,
A’ hope a’ havnae shite ma breeks.
Tae the bog a’ better scurry,
Whit the hell, it’s no ma worry.

A’bodys roon aboot me choakin’,
One or two are nearly boakin’.
I’ll feel better for a while,
Cannae help but raise a smile.

It wis him! I shout and glower,
Alas too late, he’s just keeled ower.
Ye dirty bugger! They shout and stare,
I’m no that welcome any mair.

Where e’re ye go let yer wind gang free,
That sounds jist the joab fir me.
Whit a fuss at Rabbie’s party,
Ower the sake o’ one wee farty.

P.J. O’ Rourke Bitch-Slaps Kerry

Our intrepid journalist P.J. O’ ROurke recently attended an event in Boston featuring John Kerry and wrote a doozey of a column about it in the current issue of the Weekly Standard. Here’s a snippet ....

JOHN KERRY EFFECTIVELY ENDED HIS political career on February 28, 2005, during a little-noticed event at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston. Senator Kerry was being presented with the library’s “Distinguished American Award"--a bust of John Kennedy. The artist had portrayed JFK with head slightly tilted. The bust looked puzzled. The award was presented by Senator Ted Kennedy, who phoned it in. Supposedly Kennedy was rushing to catch the “last plane out of Logan” to get to Washington for a vital debate on bankruptcy reform legislation. Why the other senator from Massachusetts wasn’t vital was not explained. Nor was it explained why any Democrat was vital to a debate on legislation that was simply to be passed by the Republican majority and signed by the Republican president.

Paul Kirk, chairman of the Kennedy library, former Ted Kennedy staffer, and head of the DNC back when Kennedys mattered, introduced Kennedy’s disembodied voice. Kennedy praised Kerry’s “passion for the value of politics” and “practice of the politics of values.” (Where is Ted Sorenson when you need him?) Kennedy did his best to laud Kerry’s thin legislative record: “a key voice on arms control.” He added, “I can’t wait for Kerry in oh-eight” and suggested this as a bumpersticker.

Oh, dear God (or deity of your choice). I almost lost my lunch at that last line. Go read it. I was rolling on the floor laughing my ass off by the end of it.

More Bad News For Atlanta

Last night a DeKalb County policeman arrested a murder suspect, handcuffed him and placed him in the back of the patrol car .... minutes later the suspect had wriggled the cuffs from behind his back to the front and pulled out a concealed gun and started firing. Fortunately, another cop saw the suspect firing at the cop and offed him. Dead, that is. The first officer is under investigation for poor search techniques.

To make matters worse, Tom Dass-hole is joining a law firm there.

It never rains but it pours in Atlanta. Sometimes it seems this city has nothing but bad luck. Why else do you think the Braves play there?

For You Pink Floyd Fans

The song titled, “Careful with that axe, Eugene”, takes on significantly different meaning when viewed in this light.

And Brits say they banned guns to reduce crimes? Man is a violent creature.  Take away the guns and he will use a knife.  Take away the knife and he will use a bow and arrow.  Take away the bow and arrow and he will use an axe.  Take away the axe and he’ll use a shovel.  Take away the shovel and he’ll use a rock.  Take away the rock and he’ll use a stick.  Take away the stick and he’ll use his hands.

You get the picture?

The Continuing Saga In Atlanta

By now most of you are sick of reading/hearing/seeing reports of that asshole Nichols who shot the judge and four others before being caught.

Now it appears the people watching the video cameras were asleep at the wheel and the cops were looking for a car that was sitting in the court building’s parking lot.

Heads will roll on this, I am sure.

But other than the political correctness that everyone will run to defend---such as a female going into a changing room alone so the prisoner could change clothes or a female escorting said prisoner with no back up or assistance---the solution will be that to fix this Atlanta will say they need lots more cops.  And then hire all women so they can put 4 women on every criminal instead of making police work a man’s job---as it should be.  This crap will happen over and over, without end, until we take serious action, not assigning more women to the situation.

Here’s what I want to know and so far have heard nor read anyone else mention it:  if the reason prisoners change from shackles, cuffs and prison garb to a suit is to keep a jury from being “prejudiced” against that person, then why are they being put into fancy suits and ties if not to try and persuade PREJUDICE the jury into thinking they are “normal, law abiding people who are innocent until proven guilty?”

Why is it prejudicing a jury one way but not the other?

Hmmmmm?!?!?!?!

More Union Madness

The UAW is pissed at Marines parking in their parking lot who don’t toe the union line ....

DETROIT—The United Auto Workers says Marine reservists should show a little more semper fi if they want to use the union’s parking lot.

The Marine Corps motto means “always faithful,” but the union says some reservists working out of a base on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit have been decidedly unfaithful to their fellow Americans by driving import cars and trucks.

So the UAW International will no longer allow members of the 1st Battalion 24th Marines to park at Solidarity House if they are driving foreign cars or displaying pro-President Bush bumper stickers.

Well, BMW has a plant in South Carolina and both Hyundai and Mercedes Benz have plants in Alabama (all non-union). Therefore we are declaring this “NATIONAL DRIVE A MERCEDES WITH A BUSH/CHENEY ‘04 BUMPER STICKER MONTH”.

Oh yeah, almost forgot .... and f**k the UAW.

Ship The Bastards Out!!

It’s way passed time that we start wholesale shipping of illegals from this country.  Put them in railroad cars and run the trains to the border.  As they get out, implant chips into their bodies (to make ID’ing them easier in the future), give them some water and a couple of sandwiches, and give them some pesos to call someone in the Mexican government who gives a shit.

Here’s another report about hospitals going toes up because they can’t afford the bills from taking care of illegals.  84 of them!

What we need are some smart lawyers to sue the fuck out of Fox and Company down in Mexico and tie their legal system in such knots they’d never recover.  Assholes!!

Read this and get VERY pissed off!

And please make sure you do not have sharp objects or guns nearby when you read about this one illegal bitch who was caught with over $8000 she received from Social Security for her disability due to heroin addiction!

This whole report is VERY troubling!

The State Of Education

Florida has a requirement for all seniors to pass a comprehensive test before they can get a diploma.  Last I checked they could take it 5 times.

Now they don’t even have to try.

Sorry, I don’t know about you but I could not get any feeling of satisfaction knowing I did not do it all by myself.

What kind of parents do this for their kids?  What are they teaching them?

America Hater at Wa-Po

Frankly, I am not surprised to have read about this.  I have always known the media to be biased in ways we sometimes can not fathom.

But to take a good look at the depths of that bias, the level of hatred for America and all things that represent her, we need go no further than the managing editor of the Washington Post, Phillip Bennett.

He was in China recently and actually said the US should not be the world’s superpower!

Straight from the transcript:

Yong Tang: In such sense, do you think America should be the leader of the world?

Bennett: No, I don’t think US should be the leader of the world. My job is helping my readers trying to understand what is happening now. What is happening now is very difficult to understand. The world is very complex. There are various complex forces occurring in it. I don’t think you can imagine a world where one country or one group of people could lead everybody else. I can’t imagine that could happen. I also think it is unhealthy to have one country as the leader of the world. People in other countries don’t want to be led by foreign countries. They may want to have good relations with it or they may want to share with what is good in that country.

This Assnugget then goes on to say:

the Washington Post has a correspondent bureau in Baghdad. One of the jobs of our correspondents in Baghdad is to tell our readers what the Bush administration is trying to hide. Bush says democracy is advancing in Iraq, but our correspondents say the situation there is much more complex than that. Our job is to put that in the public domain and challenge the government and hold them accountable. We do that by having independent reporting about events, by telling our readers what the actual situation is, with as much independence, fairness and accuracy as we can.

He’s in CHINA, of all fucking places, talking about INDEPENDENCE, FAIRNESS, and ACCURACY?  Where’s the reporting about Chinese human rights abuses, asshole?  Yeah, he won’t publish those because he’ll get kicked out of the country!

I keep reading this and getting even more infuriated!  This is his response to a question about the election coverage:

Yong Tang: It seems that the influence of mainstream media in America is on the decline. One example is about the general elections last year. The Washington Post and almost all the other major newspapers in the country firmly sided with Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry but finally Bush still won the reelection by a wide margin.

Bennett: Yes, the influence of the mainstream media is on the decline, but I don’t think it is because of the reasons you said. Again it goes back to what an editorial policy of a newspaper is. Major American newspapers endorse Democratic candidates every time. I think that endorsement means nothing. I don’t think people will vote according to that endorsement. It is just an old tradition which really doesn’t have lot of meaning any more today.

Well, Mr. Bennett, if it does not have meaning then why do you do it if not to try and persuade voters?  You LYING SACK OF SHIT!!!!  And because you and your ilk are such distorters of truth and promulgators of partisan lies, your influence WILL continue to go down.  We’ve got your number, pal!

The lies continue------

Yong Tang: What is the biggest difference between today’s tabloid journalism and Yellow Journalism during the late 1800s?

Bennett: According to The Yellow Journalism, they write things that are not true. Part of the origin of Yellow Journalism is inventing things and making them up in order to capture people’s imagination. Today even the tabloids hold a standard of accuracy higher than that standard then.

Hey, Assnugget, explain to me the difference between the media NOT following up on stories about Kerry’s service, his military records, his lies, his treasonous acts, etc. and your efforts to demonize the President.  Why is it when you publish stories that are patently false, or interview people who tell outright lies, or endorse books by authors who have an axe to grind with the administration which clouds their abilities to be “honest” that you don’t call this yellow-journalism?  I see no difference.

OK, y’all go read the rest for yourselves. I am sickened by it.

Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. 1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
