  2. I’d wish you 75 more but that’s unrealistic.  So let’s shoot for 25 and hope England doesn’t go muslim on you before then.

  3. Happy Birthday peiper,

I’m joining the septuagenarian club July 23rd next when I turn 70.

I hope I make it till then cause I do not want: “DIED AT 69” on my tomb stone.

Imagine people thinking I was engaged in a “pleasant” sex act when I passed on!

  6. i also have a “confession” of sorts.
when i wore a younger mans clothes , about 55 years ago, i ran with a group of boys.
some had cars. i didn’t. one night driving around, they decided to visit a nursery. a flower nursery.  another guy and i stayed in the car while the rest went out to reconnoiter, they came back and said they had found an unlocked door and seeing as how sunday was mothers day, they were gonna make a run for flowers for their moms.
i knew i couldn’t give my mom stolen flowers, so i stayed in the car. as i had shown a lack of wanting to get into trouble, i was not invited to their next escapade. that being the liberating of “spare” tires. back in the day , these tires were full size.
what they would do was to go into garages, and look for keys in the ignition. when they found one , they would open the trunk and take the tire. this went on for months and as people rarely got in to their trunks, the crimes went undetected.
their get away car was a station wagon that had been formerly owned by the cook coffee co.
it was painted a distinctive orange and black. not many were around with a load of spare tires in them. they were caught when a patrol car happened to pull up beside them while they were stopped at a traffic light. our newspaper was delivered to our house, anytime after 3:30 pm. that night i was reading the paper and a big headline read” teenage theft ring smashed”
    there they were, all caught.
they never admitted to the nursery caper, so i never got named, but i never, again, did anything with those boys.
