  1. No cop anywhere wants to “lower himself” to dealing with bicycle theft. No status in that you know.

I had my bicycle stolen when I lived up in Binghamton. Took it right out of our garage. I reported it, serial number and all. Cops did nothing. Yeah, yeah, fill out the form, we’ll let you know, uh huh, yeah right, later.

A couple of weeks later I was driving down the street and I saw a teen coming the other way riding my bike. I threw the GT into an instant 180, smoked ‘em down the street, and cut him off at the curb, jumped out, grabbed the kid by the face and THREW him off the moving bicycle. He went flying, right into the window of the local BK, where everyone inside was watching. Cops showed up in seconds! The window didn’t break, but the kid was so scared he wet himself. Cops were going to bust me for being a violent crazy, but after I took my foot off the perp’s neck I told them this was my bike, reported stolen, and proved it on the spot by unlocking the combo on the cable lock that was still wrapped around the seat post. So in front of all those people, the cop had to actually do his job ... the kid ratted out some other kid, who ratted out some other kid, and within 3 days the police had busted an entire bicycle theft ring / junior criminal gang, and recovered more than 50 bikes.

The whole incident, from me seeing the teen to my nailing his ass, didn’t take 10 seconds. And it only took a few minutes for the cops to show up and haul the kid away. The Russian girl in the car with me found herself frightened, giddy, and then enormously aroused by the adventure and my instant burst of testosterone. All’s well that ends well!
    LOL

  2. That’s the secret one of my great bosses in sales and marketing told me years ago when presented with a problem situation: “Do something, anything, even if it’s wrong. Worry about the consequences later”.

Doing nothing is wrong and it means failure.

That’s why I believe george W. Bush was correct in invading Iraq and afghanistan after 9-11.

He might not have been correct about the WMD’s, but he did something.

    HE WHO DARES.........WINS!
