My guess is the investigation will show a ballast shift or a big water leak somewhere. Those ships all have listing sensors, so there’s no way it would have ever left the pier with an imbalanced load.
The drunks were the ones in that concrete carrier I linked to that went down off of Scotland. All hands, gone, just like that. The sea ... it’s where worse things happen.

Those big car carriers are a little unreal. They’re not just long and wide, they’re tall! They really look like floating skyscrapers. I live next to L.A. Harbor - I see them pretty regularly.
