  1. Welcome to winter! Drive safely and stay warm and dry.

We’re in the happy green wedge here in NJ.  smile I’ve got the windows open; its nearly 70 outside. Forecast says we’ll have a bit of rain this weekend, but it should stay in the low 50s for at least another week. I think we’re in for another one of those mock-winters here where we get a little snow once in a while and its gone in 48 hours. That’s the payback we get for the airless sweltering muggy summers we have to endure.

  2. Winter Storm Checklist:

    >Call in sick to work - check

    >Inventory that the beer, pizza, chili, spagetti sauce supply is sufficient for duration of storm - check

    >Move comfy chair in front of big-screen TV - check

    >Fresh batteries for TV remote - check

    >Scan cable listings for good movies and mark them - check

    >Block idiot Weather Channel for screaming about latest “storm of the century” every 5 minutes - check

    >Settle in and wait until Saturday to fuck with the damn snow.  That’s winter in Wisconsin.

  3. Yeah, it’s colder than a well diggers ass here in Kansas City.  Freezing rain last night, snow forecast for later today, 3- 10 inches.  YUK!

  4. Two things - this must not hit Cincy until 2300 (EST) Go Bengals. And two, I can’t avoid work - I work at home now. What a raw deal there. And I got family coming in for the weekend I can only imagine all the phone calls coming on about why I am not headed to ______(fill in the blank) for Christmas (again) this year. Man, do I miss the Army. It’s about time for a nice three year overseas tour.

Skipper - it’s 67 here but only a high of 38 tomorrow. What fun.

Ummm, karen - exactly how cold IS a well diggers ass?!? Not heard that one - most of the ones I know from the army just aren’t repeatable in mixed company

  5. Dallas: 28 degrees. Boston: 68 degrees.  Go figure… Gotta love all that glow-ball warming.....  It’s a shorts and t-shirt day here on December First.

I hate snow. I hate cold weather. I hate winter. There is no good part of winter, whatsoever. so, if indeed glow-ball warming exists, I say, BRING IT ON!!!!
