Will Humans Catch Computer Viruses?

  1. If you’re a Bible believer, you know something along these lines will happen.  The whole “mark of the beast” thing.

  2. I awoke this morning with a flu-like virus.  My whole body aches. Especially the tips of my fingers from typing.  I basically only use three fingers as I am not a touch typist but a “hunter-pecker.” There are hard, calloused deposits on those fingers and when I looked at them closely I saw the numbers 6, 6, and 6.

Is that an omen? (mechanical servo-actuator noise can be heard) “bzzzzzt”

    “bzzzzt” omen?

    “bzzzzt” omen

    “bzzzzzt” omen?

    I’m sorry Dave, I can’t do that.

    Does not compute.

    Does not compute.

(power pack pulled.  Silence dominates Vilmar’s computer room.)

  3. I’m thinking more along the lines of :  You don’t take “the mark” you don’t eat, no svcs. etc.  Cashless society etc.

Just postulating.  Can’t say that I know, just that some form of “mark” and a world united under one ruler.

Don’t know about the virus side of things.  Get back to you with better examples/reference for context.

  4. Ok, here’s the reference:

“He also forced everyone, small and great, rich an poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead.  So that no one could buy or sell unless he had a mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
“This calls for wisdom.  If anyone has insidght, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number.  His number is 666.” Revelation 13:16-18 (NIV Bible)

I’m just reporting my observation, you decide.  A few billion people acknowledge the Bible as the Word of God.
I find it interesting how stories like this and the RFID stuff can be made to jive with the Bible.
Again, I don’t have a lock on things, but always curious.
