   If this isn’t illegal, it should be. He’s lucky they didn’t see him and slam the brakes when they rounded the bend. Would have been embarrassing if the train did this and derailed.

3. Hmmm… got time to back up?

   Of course, in the States, we have cow-catchers on the front. That would have scooped him up and thrown him to the side.

   I know. Personal experience. Cow-catcher threw my car off the tracks I was stuck on.

   A long time ago, in a land far away… by mutual agreement I didn’t sue for poorly maintained crossings that got my car stuck (not to mention no signals or crossbars), they didn’t sue me for damaging their tracks. (yes, they tried that.) Plus they paid my medical expenses.

   A ‘win-win’, if there’s a ‘win-win’ to be found in such matters.

   All I can say is that I had a good plastic surgeon sew my forehead up. 256 stitches, in two layers, I was told. You can hardly notice the scars unless you’re within 50 yards of me. (yes, that’s sarcasm, you have to be within 25 inches of me to notice them. If you’re that close, you are female, and my scars aren’t where you’re looking… )

   Ten years later I was still finding glass particles and pushing them out like zits. Better than zits, actually. I’d lost feeling in that part of my forehead. It didn’t hurt to ‘pop’ the glass out. (For some reason, the zits still hurt...)
