Why Floridians Won’t Go Up North

 

1. I lived in a place, (Idaho @ 7000’) where
   after the first ‘snowfall’ ... I had to fire up
   a D4 CAT to skid the car and belongings
   down the hill. (4 fuckng miles and nothin’
   but net on both sides)

   Ain’t liked it since.

   THEN, I had to go back up a week later and
   catch the chickens and one stupid cat.

   Did I tell ya I don’t like snow?

   That was the 2nd week of SEPTEMBER.

   I hate snow. Did I mention that?

2. Change those dates to September and you have Minot AFB, North Dakota. As the sign over the main gate says: “Only The Best Come North”. I reported for duty there in September, 1975. I was greeted by a Staff Sgt. who asked, “Who did you piss off?”

   It went downhill from there.
