Nice piece. I have a Taurus model 65 in .357 magnum. My wife has a model 94 in .22. Both shoot great but the trigger on the model 94 is a bit crappy.
Tonight on MTV’s “Pimp My Nine"…
Definately a flashy piece ya got there.
Heaven help us!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only member of BMEWS against the guns??
Dottie,
Yep, I’m afraid you’re the only one who thinks criminals should be the only one with guns.
Allan
Well Dottie it’s beginning to look that way, don’t worry about I’m sure none of us will force you to get one…
Err, nice piece there Allan. Seriously a little to guadie for me, but I’m sure it will be a good shooter.
Enjoy......
Hmm… looks that way Dottie.
Dottie,
You only need some education about guns. Find a friend to go shooting with. A nice 9mm like Allen’s would be fun to begin with. Be sure to bring lots of ammo, once you get started you will want to shoot all day.
What Ferdinand said… but I’d suggest a nice 22/45 or similar .22 handgun. Ammo’s cheaper (by a darn sight) and is a bit more first-timer-friendly than a 9mm. Either way, have a friend take you or hit a class at a local range.
My significant other doesn’t have a gun, none of my friends nor their husbands/significant others have guns, my sons don’t have guns, none of my neighbors have guns, none of my co-workers have guns (that I know of- at least it’s never come up in conversation)........you all must be living on a different planet than I am...........
Dottie, we’re all on the same planet. Most people don’t discuss gun ownership outside fo forums like this. Your friends and neighbors probably own quite a few rifles and pistols between them but because of the anti-gun movements today they, like many others, prefer to remain silent about what they own to avoid arguments. There is nothing wrong with owning guns if used safely and properly and they do provide a measure of security against criminals .... plus, hunting is a great sport in most areas of the country.
Very nice Allan. I’m sure you know this, but don’t run any hot load through it until you’re sure it won’t put the slide in your face.
Dottie, not sure where you live, but if it’s in the Pacific NW my bet is you are surrounded by gun owners.
Also if you do live there send me an email and I would be happy to take you shooting. Not with a 9mm at first though .
Like Allen said, you probably know some gun owners, they’re just “in the closet” due to the cultural shift during the last few decades.
A shift, that I think (and hope) is moving again.
BTW, 1 day ‘til the so-called AWB sunsets.
BobF......don’t know where you are in Missouri......I am in west St. Louis County.....the only person I ever knew to having a gun was my former husband who had a hunting rifle, he used to deer hunt when we lived in Massachusetts..........When we had children he got rid of it
mt- thank you for the invitation, but I live in Missouri and do not want to go shooting, period!! The only “shooting” I do is with my cameras.............
BobF........thank you, those are kind words....I would feel safe if I were to have you as a neighbor..........
Allen- I hope that you have a working gun to carry with you, because I think that if you pulled the “Pimp special” out that the guy would die laughing, and then how would you explain that to the cops? Of course that would save you tons of ammo. And Dottie, I think that any gun owner would make you the same offer. I keep thinking of that resturant (Luddies???) in Texas where the guy ran his truck in the resturant and then started shooting people. Can’t remember how many deaths, but I remember a woman whose parents were shot and killed that day had left her gun in her car. She said that she might have been able to save her parents if only she had her gun on her person. She said that now she doesn’t go anywhere without her gun. She may never need it again in her life, but what a difference it would have made on that day
Andy, that was Suzanna Gratia-Hupp. After the murder of her folks, she ran for and got elected to the Texas legislature where she fought to correct the Texas carry laws.
“She may never need it again in her life, but what a difference it would have made on that day.”
My personal motto is: “It’s better to have and not need, than to need and not have.”
