While The Skipper’s Away ….

  1. It’s your java JRE. Microsoft screwed Sun with the new Vista Aero interface. Sun just released a beta of Java 6 Beta that fixes java’s incompatibility with Aero. I see Skipper had a javascript countdown clock that he removed recently. That was probably what was blowing Aero up for you. Get the new Java 6. I’ve tried it with Vista RC2 and it works perfectly fine. No Aero explosions.

  2. Uh, isn’t that supposed to be “Truth, justice and all that other stuff?” I mean, gosh, we might insult someone if you say “the AMERIKAN way.” I mean, gee whiz, golly gosh, oh my, we couldn’t do anything like that! They might do something terrible, based in desperation from their oppressed poverty and poorididity, like, blow up embassy buildings mass murdering scores of African civilians, or blowing up a few barracks buildings or maybe a navy ship or, heavens to Bettsy, fly airplanes into buildings in Amerika!

    Doh! Oh, wait. Damn!

  3. "All that other stuff” may be the order of the night. Looks like the Dems are up 3 or 4 at this point ... hard to tell; some news orgs making the call with 2% in, some not calling when 52% are in. So far what I’m seeing isn’t making me thrilled. Naturally Menendez the crook won in NJ; Chicago’s machine has nothing on this state. Best to wait till morning for more stable results, or perhaps after the lawsuits settle down a bit.

But it is looking like Bush narrowly survived his 3rd election. This race was all about him and he wasn’t even running. Now, how lame is that? 6 years in office and the whole country is still split down party lines. I don’t see any coming together, I don’t see any moving On or moving forward. Just the same name calling, finger pointing crap day after day, year after year, while both sides stuff their pockets, grow the government cow as fat as possible, and tax the daylights out of all of us.

Friggin McCain (spineless pussy-Arizona) on Fox: “I guess we Rebublicans have let down our base.” You think? Only on about 17 major issues Johnny boy. Add in that you CAN’T get one single positive story a WEEK out of Iraq onto the TV news ...

I haven’t heard Lame Duck spoken yet, but I am not looking forward to the next 2 years. And if McCain is the best the GOP can come up with for a candidate in ‘08 I’ll vote for Hillary. At least she’s a man.

  4. Drew, I voted for Kinky today.

Texas is the most red of the red states. Don’t call me a pussy or I may have to hunt you down and kick your ass. I want to be a Republican, but I am not for the BIG GOVERNMENT Republicans that are in charge at the moment. We also need to have the wisdom to let some heads roll, and get some new management when our team is not winning.

We need to extract our collective heads from our collective asses. We can do that before the next electorial cycle.

  5. Oh Fuck… Drew I hope you enjoy voting for Hillary…

  6. This is a bit more humility than I had in mind…

  7. Its not you Stan, its the guys in DC. Yes, I want the big gov repubs out too ... but I didn’t want to replace them with bigger gov dems. Speaker Pelosi. That’s depressing. Should we start a pool to guess how many days it will be until the impeachment hearings begin?

No I am not a McCain supporter. They can call him middle of the road all they want, the man is not a conservative at all. I don’t even think he’s a Republican anymore. So let’s get some new GOP philosophy going ... lean and mean ... do what is right not what is popular this afternoon. Today I have major doubts that can happen, but let’s see.
