2. It’s not news because it doesn’t fit the storyline:

   1. like you said, the shooter wasn’t a deranged white guy
   2. no ‘assault rifle’ was used
   3. the victims weren’t young children
   4. it happened in a gun-free zone
   5. it was ‘just’ a case of black-on-black violence, something that’s all too common and taken for granted
