  3. Not a debatable issue Drew. You’re exactly right in all you said.
We see a lot of that mindless crap here.  Some official or usually a teacher that texts something or emails a friend and never mind flashing skin.  Sometimes words are enough to send some jobsworth all a twitter. Oh yes, and then there is this from the morning Daily Mail by James Slack.

A town hall spy on every corner: Pursuing smokers, stalking dog owners… 9,600 ‘missions’ of council snoopers

Surveillance operations exploiting controversial anti-terror laws
Offences such as dog fouling and dropping litter are being targetted
Council officers carried out ‘test purchases’ at local escort agencies
Hidden cameras used to catch people putting rubbish out early
Civil liberties campaigners say powers are being abused
BBC refuses to reveal how it traps licence-fee evaders

  4. And yet, and yet Michael Moore won a lawsuit - on the exact same issue - using PD footage without the permission of the person (the SGT who lost his arms, NBC footage on the ‘new’ surgeries done for these guys, Moore used it in Fakenheit 911). . . Thus is the first and major problem with our court system - it bends to the whim of the particular people in the courtroom at the time.

Anyone who does something like this and then tries to squelch it - is a moron. Anyone who fights the idiot Flynt - deserves a win. And if, somehow, someway - she did secure the rights - then more power to her - but she waited too damn long - it’s now (obviously) in Internet hell - so the decision is indeed idiotic.

We are in for big trouble.
