IF I’m not mistaken this has been an issue that has been kicked around for about 20 years and certainly after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
I seem to remember a lot of Democrat types who were behind this one. Amazing what an election year can do to peoples thinking.

This has been talked about for the last 15+ years. About time we finally put it on the table and assigned a time table to it. It will be a busy ten years but the majority of the reassigning will probably be complete well before then. Ten years from now the last guy out is going to toss the keys to a bunch of not so happy krauts.

OCM: I think it is YOU who are not reading. I mentioned the 10 year thing as does the article.
Krauts lose, per my local leftoid rag, 170,000 people at say, $40k each per year times a multiplier of 10 = 68 Billion of the Great Spondulix each and evey year. Guess what - it’s going back into the American economy and not being sucked out by the lefty vampires.

A further point is we’re talking redeployement, those slots in Germany will be going to the next hot spot. Like maybe the near the Chineese.
There was talk of pulling asssets out of Korea, but I imagiane that may be on hold. My humble Monday morning Supreme Commander fantasy tells me we aren’t done Southwest Asia for a while either and that isn’t spelled I-R-A-Q.
So hey we’ll have plenty of slots for all those overseas job the Dumycrats are crying about…

I wonder how many of the people complaining now were, 20-30 years ago, when they actually served a purpose, marching to get our troops out? It’s almost as if they consistently want our troops places they don’t help defend us…
