How about a response of, “The horse is named after Charles Blackman. We’re not changing the name. If you don’t like that, go suck your thumb in the corner and have a good cry. Maybe you’ll feel better.”
Because that’d be MY response. In writing, signed with a “Cordially yours,” before the signature.
