  1. JayD some of those cards may well be quite valuable. Shame about the glue but there are people out there who will pay good moohlah for unusual postcards. Worth looking into it.

  2. Lyndon, Thanks. Never thought about it. What would make em that valuable?  Surely they can’t be rare. ??  Where would you start looking? The glue on the backs would I think devalue them.

  3. I would have a troll around Ebay (UK) and see if you can find anything similar. The glue is a potentail problem but it most likely is water soluble so with care you could get rid of it. They may be rare because like most collectable stuff people didn’t hang on to them and binned them. It would certainly be worth checking in to them. Maybe take one or two along to an antique shop. Just remember they are generaly robbing bastards.

  4. btw the cards of HMS Revenge, Nelson and Barham are really nice. I bet there are military collectors for these.

  5. er Rodney rather than Nelson. Rodney was the sister ship of Nelson.

  6. HMS Rodney was involved in the pursuit and sinking of the Nazi battleship Bismarck.  And yeah, most of this stuff was thrown away like old vacation postcards after the war.  Keep an eye out...even old appliances, etc, may be valuable.
