3. No shit. My mom just got home yesterday from FL, she had sat out Frances at her nephew’s house in Ocala.

   Good news is all my FL relatives (there’s quite a list) made it through OK, just basic yard damage.

4. My son, daughter-in-law & baby lived in Winter Garden, Florida, from 1996 until this past March when they moved back here to St. Louis........My son was able to talk by cell phone with a former neighbor who is a chef with Disney.  He said that Disney went into a “lock down” during the hurricanes.......they kept all of the guests in the various hotels and kept them well fed by keeping employees on overtime duty........Matt’s neighbor said that there wasn’t much damage to their subdivision- only a few trees down.......all of the houses in the subdivision where they lived were built to withstand the hurricane type of winds..........I’m thankful that they were here in St.Louis instead of in Florida.............
