  1. Well, if

it is a civil rights movement that wants to put an end to police brutality and mass incarceration

then for the first part, maybe change the name to #BustedNotBroken. And for the second part - mass incarceration?????? - you better show me the round-ups in da hoods, with the po-po taking away the bruddas by the truckload. Because that ISN’T happening. At all. And never has. EVER.

OTOH, if, by their infantile ability to write coherently and precisely, they actually meant “disproportionate incarceration, relative to their population”, then we can FINALLY have that vaunted Conversation About Race. And I’ll be their with my 80s tape machine, playing the funky theme song from Baretta ("don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time"). Because my side of the conversation will be mountains of statistics, FBI and police reports. Followed by a demand for personal responsibility and civilized behavior.

Heck, I’ll steal a march on President Trump and Make A Deal ... I’ll let every person in jail for 25 kilos or less of pot go free, charge and conviction wiped clean. Or 1lb of crack or cocaine or less. Illegals deported naturally. And sit back and watch those thousands of empty cells fill right back up again, with black youths convicted of other serious felonies.

  2. It’s like complaining that a disproportionate amount of glass jars are being broken, and blaming the theory of physics that jars get broken when thrown against a brick wall, as opposed to blaming the idiots that are throwing the jars.

WOW, what a stretch of reality for that analogy.

The simplest way to stop “disproporionate” prison populations, would be if the “disproportionate” number of people STOP BREAKING THE LAW.

These are the same laws that apply to white people to.  Only it seems, white people are able to control themselves better when it comes to abiding by the law.  So, the issue must be that blacks disproportionately break the law.  Which means the disproportionately are unable to control themselves....hence, they can not help but break the laws...hence, they are not suited for civilized western culture.

Maybe that is why America became what it is in record time, yet Africa, after 10,000 years, still looks like a shithole.  Successful black people are the exception, not the rule.  Yet by me pointing this out, I am labeled a racist.

Sadly, we are not allowed to point out the problem.  And until we can do that, there will NEVER be a solution.  As long as blacks blame racism, white people, cops, the justice system, the prison system, and every thing else, but themselves, they will NEVER break this cycle.  It is they are have the power to change this...no one else.  All the rest of us are merely observers or responders to what they do and nothing more.  We have adjusted and skewed the rules to favor the success of blacks, with negro scholareships, affirmative action, preferred college acceptance, preferred employment and promotions, and despite all of this, blacks can still not seem to equal that of whites when it comes to staying out of prison, maintaining a job, staying in school, or anything that would lead to a breaking of this chain they find themselves in.  Blacks are their own worst enemy.

  3. When in college (for the second time) - I had to write a paper for the juvenile delinquency class I was in - I chose to write that race had nothing to do with JD rates. My professor would only approve, if at mid-term I did not have the requisite resources to prove my thesis. I did, so I continued to write - got an A on it and even used a study by the university (University of Maryland) I was a student in to prove my point.
There are 2 almost universal factors to JD rates:
    1. Socio-economic - the lower the socio-economic position - the higher the JD rates are.
    2. Head of household - households headed by a single mom or female dominate have higher JD rates

The Chicago Study also proved that as specific racial groups improved their socio-economic standards and moved out of the inner city - their JD (and overall) crime rates diminished.

Of course the fact that 97% of black victims of gun homicide are killed by other blacks also ignores the facts and reality.

    But hey - words hurt.
