  1. Christopher ... Much thanks for this one. It’s among his most passionate I’ve seen and I must admit I’m embarrassed that I missed it, as I usually check him. So glad you did.
There is not one thing he said that wasn’t correct in every detail.

  2. It is your fault, not society’s. “like rats sh*tting where they nest” - How apropos - best description I’ve heard.

Two very well known ‘truths’ to put to the lie that is all things Democrat, social justice, li(e)bral, no opportunities blah, blah, blah (please remember I once was a sociology major wanting to go into social work, but noticing a niggling little set of ‘rules’ that treated some people different than others - which is why I ended that line of study).

Oprah Winfry - black, woman, born of an unmarried couple, poor, moved about and between family members, molested by a relative, pregnant & gave birth to a dead baby at 14 - talk about life being against her and no opportunities. What social service (i.e. gov agency) stepped in when she was 14 in that hospital and say - How did this happen, let us help you and get that man?!?  Or any other time in her life as she was dragged around the US by poor and uneducated family? Yet she is admired, educated and rich beyond (notice too, she isn’t among the brain dead uber rich ‘claiming’ to want DC to raise their taxes)her dreams.

Michael Oher - black, one of twelve children of a crack addict, whose father was killed in prison, who when he was 4 would wander the neighborhood at night looking for a covered porch to sleep on - talk about life being against him and no opportunities. Social services didn’t even put him into foster care until he was 7 (amazing he lived that long) and when he fell out of foster homes, never even bothered to try to find him. Yet he survived long enough for two religious families to care enough to do something and open some doors for him. Now he has a college degree in criminal justice and is playing NFL football (and just for added measure of what a good educational opportunity can do - his IQ score increased by more than 20 points between an abysmal public school education and college testing).

I have to admit that something inside each of these two people - made them tough out horrendous starts in life and keep on going forward and that they had some assistance at points in their lives - but in the end - for each and everyone of us - It is how WE take what is offered and use it to make OURSELVES the best that we can be.

And I like Pat’s - tell the people in Somalia that you have no opportunities - these are nothing but subhuman scum relishing and wallowing in their stupidity - and like rabid dogs and rats - vermin on society and civilized behavior.

I’d say put ‘em in jail - but then we’d still be paying for ‘em - a simple shot will end it all - humane which is much more than these scum deserve. And then end all the programs that created this mess in the first place.

Isn’t that what these liberal people believe (Darwinism) - survival of the fittest? Isn’t that how we supposedly ‘evolved’ - this money grubbing, ‘wealth’ distributing system does not do that at all - it rewards the worst, least fit, least able, least intelligent, least productive - so it is the antithesis of one of their core beliefs.

    How typical liberal of them.

To not even try is the ultimate failure there is.

  6. Hey grayjohn…just because he can’t run for president doesn’t mean the president can’t take his advice…

  7. peiper, Pat says there aren’t enough police because they cost money. If you had an armed citizenry, you wouldn’t need said police officers. If you still adhered to traditional rights of an Englishman, ie, the right to bear arms, they could defend themselves sans police.

Police are, by definition, reactionary. They do not protect. They might find the criminals and prosecute them after the fact. But you or I would be dead by then.

And lately, it appears that the criminals have more rights in Britain. Attack a criminal in your own home and YOU are charged with assault/battery/attempted murder.

FYI, this is a good example of how prescient our American Founding Fathers were when they voted for independence. We are having the same argument here in the States, but we are a couple of decades behind your slide into oblivion.

Really sad, my mother remembers when Britain ruled a fifth of the world. Doesn’t take long to decline. Sadder, under Obama, the USA is declining faster than the British Empire.
