  1. The 17th Amendment gutted the “State’s Legislature.” Instead of Senators being appointed by the current State governments it allows the popular vote to choose senators, making the Senate really no different from the House. The State governments have no representation in Congress anymore, since Senators no longer answer to the State legislatures. Shouldn’t be surprised by these “democratic” attacks on the Senate.

  2. I was going to point that out - take away a States RIGHT to sit whomever they please - irregardless of the ability of a certain party to cheat to stack the deck in their favor. Nope can’t have the States have any control or Rights at all. Much less the citizens. Congress imposing a Term Limit on the President but none on themselves. They have also pretty much nullified Recall to prevent people of a state disgruntled with their ‘representative’ from having an option to remove them. Much like Congresscritters and SC judges sitting on their a** until they are carried away - rather than with discretion - Retiring when they get a soon to be fatal medical diagnosis. Can’t tell me -95% or more of what comes out of Congress isn’t written by staff and lobbyists and 80% of what comes from the SC isn’t written by clerks. These people all need Term Limits. Not enough of them die young anymore.

And people wonder how we got into this mess. It all went to hell long before Bush the younger or Obama and now Trump is trying to clean it all up. Or at least put some breaks on this crap.
