Until we get a better word, I am what an islamophobe looks like.
But in the modern world the -phobe suffix mainly implies fear. I don’t fear islam. I hate islam. I hate everything it stands for, because everything it stands for is corrupt and evil. Violent world domination in the name of your god is evil. Slavery is evil. Pedophilia is evil. Lying to anyone outside your tribe and pretending that’s Ok is evil. Treating women as chattel and 3rd rate humans is evil. Maiming criminals for any crime is evil: put them in jail, or kill them cleanly. “Honor killing” is evil. And the list goes on and on.
Granted, I do fear islamists, because I think they are psychotics, and those people you want to keep at arm’s length, usually when that arm is holding a loaded machinegun.
Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a proper suffix. But there may be a proper prefix. Miso. Miso means to hate. Misanthrope, misogynist. So ... misislamic, misislamist? Or just a generic opposite, apposite, apostate “anti-islamic”?
Sadly, it’s been 900 years since the strongest term against islam was “Christian”. Ha, that one might work. “So, you’re islamaphobic then?” “No, I’m a Crusader.”
I think anti-islam or anti-muslim is good enough. Followers of the ‘pedophile prophet’ would work too. And never capitalize ‘islam’, ‘muslim’, or ‘prophet’.
Especially when referring the the ‘prophet’ Mohammed.
It seems to me the fanatics are a minority group that has succeeded in both intimidating the majority and achieving acceptance as the spokespeople for all 2 billion+. Rationality is not a major factor. As they show more success overcoming, primarily, verbal opposition (Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!) they will steadily grow to a significant minority to a majority.
Since 1% of 2 billion is 20 million, a small percentage of astute, vocal, trained activists can achieve the above on multiple fronts and get a significant number to believe all the problems they face: societal, financial, and educational are the fault of infidels - especially those who put uppity ideas into females.
