Sounds to me like like the criminals got some real justice. Had he been in Britain he would be facing life in jail.
I can’t say I’m actually *sorry* he had to go through it. When you shoot someone who is rummaging through your neighbors house, it’s nice to know the government will want to KNOW that it wasn’t someone an absent neighbor ASKED to go rummage through their house on their behalf. All told, I’d call it another reason to be glad I live in Texas.
Actually this qualifies as more than one reason to be glad. Besides the obvious reason, there’s also the pleasant side effect of knowing how much it will piss off and disturb the majority of the population of San Francisco… and Los Angeles.... and New York City.... and Chicago… and DC… and Berkeley… and....
