It’s only erupting to screw up your plans you know. No other reason.
Gaia: “Hmm, Peiper wants to fly back to California? Meh hah hah, I don’t think so!!”
KA BOOM !!!
And all of europe is under a flight canceling, engine killing cloud of ash. Wait till it blocks out the sun for months and brings freezing temperatures all the way to Moscow, destroying spring and summer.
Should we refer to this as a “non-man caused disaster”?
What a bunch of sissies. I was knee deep in ash in 1981 when St helens went POP and we just played in the ash like kids in snow.Kinda hard on the windshield of our cars but we didnt ground the nation or even the local airports.
God Europe is a sad state of stupid.Come back soon peiper,If you can ever get a damn flight from stupidstan.
Geez, Even the news folk here are acting like the earth just went dark because of one lil volcano.OK all you Euro guys and gals, Is it really as bad as they are spewing it to be there or is this just overhyping an actual newsworthy item?
The reporting here is that fine glass like particles can gut a plane’s engines and bring them down. That’s what is being broadcast anyway, with regard to what those ash clouds contain, aside from plain ash. I’d never heard of that sort of thing before today. Maybe there’s something different about this volcano (?) that when it erupts, it carries more then the top soil and rock. I don’t know. Just repeating what I hear. So far in our area it’s been pretty damn COLD all day long with frosty winds. Otherwise, the skies are blue with patches of puffy white clouds.
I dun some really dumb stuff in my 54 years OCM and dont put standin on the edge of a volcano past me.We went on a helo on the first day allowed to the rim of St Helens just to see the bubbles.
Ever lived where there is a huge forest fire close by?
Yes. In Calif. during fire season and it wasn’t even that close but we thought of leaving the house for a day. Got lucky and it ended but before it did, it was pretty damn bad.
Over here the powers that be allow back yard bonfires where folks burn cuttings and trimmings etc. Often the jerks burning don’t look to see where the wind is going. In fact, they shouldn’t be burning in winds anyway. But they don’t care and they do. Sometimes that smoke comes right inside here. Can’t see it inside the house of course, but oh boy it can get pretty bad. Makes me sometimes wish I had a gun but better I don’t.
I know what ur saying. Throat burns, sinus affected , headache etc. Royal pain.
I guess a volcano is all of that magnified about a thousand times.
