   Yup, the more “blue” a state is, generally the higher tax they have on gasoline. It’s not 100% - NJ is a very blue state but has lower gas taxes by far then NY (55 cents or more!), but it holds in general.

4. There was one locally at $1.99 on Sunday - too bad that it was on tv - by 11pm news - he was sold out. But locally I’d say $2.39 is about standard.

   The Dems blew it - they let prices shoot up (thought it’d mess with the economy and they’d win the WH) but then refused to even consider the Drill Here, Drill Now uprising and then stepped into it full time by promising to undue the recently passed off-shore drilling ban lift and then put forth a candidate who is against it all other than taxing the hell out of gas and funneling money (supposedly) to ‘alternative’ forms of new energy. . . And then the final blow was the housing/mortgage/credit crisis - which made the economy real crap and how did they ‘fix’ it - by plunging us into greater debt (and higher taxes) -

   Yes, and on local talk radio this morning was a mooron from some gov Energy office talking ‘growth’ of the industry - get this - by cutting useage!

   Only a stupid socialistic, leftist Dem could come up with that strategy - Don’t buy into a lot of the hype. Here are gas prices are ok - but most of our ‘political’ problems are being brought on by a Dem take over caused by the little scandal of Taft/Noe - now with AG Dann, SoS Brunner, ACORN and now the invasion of privacy by a gov office - the 2004/06 Dems have shown that they know unethical corruption because they live it.

   It ain’t over until it’s over - and with McCain/Palin - there will be at least a chance of America moving closer to real energy independence. And economic recovery - with Obama we will sink deeper and deeper into all economic, social, security and individual rights problems.
