  1. Peiper I agree but we also have the problem of not offending minorities by profiling. So the police here have to apologise for rounding up terrorists. Oh and as for the murderers you allude to above they are both illegal immigrants from Nigeria and I may be wrong but the woman killed was also a “refugee” from Sierra Leone, almost certainly she entered the UK on a bogus passport, then claimed asylum and as usual the UK was to gutless to send her back. Maybe if we had sent all three of them back she would still be alive today?

    The days of the unarmed policemen are probably drawing to a close. In London gun crime is getting out of control. Maybe it’s wrong to link the fact that one in three people who live in London were not born in Britain (sorry Peiper I’m not blaming you ex pat Americans!) The Met police have armed response teams all over the place now. Just recently four Lithuanians were convicted of gun running. They had been caught with 30 pistols and silencers. This is just one case how many more are at it? Yet British Olympic pistol target shooters have to keep their guns overseas and fly to places like Switzerland to practise.

    As for the story, why am I not surprised that gun crime has quadrupled? Gun crime here has gone ballistic since the ban and I think coupled with the way that citizens are effectively prevented from defending themselves it comes as no surprise.

    I recall as a child in the 70’s at school my Maths teacher discussing people defending their homes. His standpoint was that this was “the law of the jungle” and was horrified by the idea. I thought he was a twat. Looking back it seems he was just another liberal wanker. The trouble is most teachers are the same and we have had generations of kids growing up with this indoctrination.

    It may incur the wrath of gun owners Stateside but I don’t have a problem with some gun control. I don’t have a problem with police checking that the purchaser of a gun is not a convict or ex offender. However we have the worst of both worlds here. You cannot own a handgun period. You can own a shotgun but increasingly the police want you to tell them why you need one. You can own a rifle provided you are either a member of an approved club or have permission to shoot on land that has been “approved” for the rifle. However if you are a criminal then why worry? Pay some Lithuanian gangster with more than likely previous form to smuggle one in for you. UK immigration can’t stop him as he is “European” and the police don’t know about his past as there is hardly any sharing of information.

  2. Slight correction the policewoman Peiper mentioned was shot by a gang of Somali “refugees” Not sure if they have been given British passports like this sweetheart

    but I would not be surprised and the principal suspect has since absconded. The police belive he has gone back to Somalia no doubt he will claim asylum again shortly in a new identity.

  3. I truly wanted to emigrate to Aussie land but their stoopid gun laws make me stay put;
    this is really really rancid icing on a rotten cake.
