I’m still getting used to the privilege.
Having Wardmama in the mix would give us a pretty interesting set of perspectives on news and events. All of us key in on different things at different times, kinda’ the same but different, very different. If anyone puts it to a vote, I’ll say yes.
I would like to point out that you, Dr. Jeff, are the first post-Skipper Admin. It is a solemn duty… Drew, peiper, and myself were appointed by the late Skipper. I was abusing the privilege until Drew took me to task. Don’t go there. I’d like to think Drew is satisfied with my posts since he chewed me out.
You’re correct. We all focus on different things. I let Drew and peiper do current events. I focus on weird cultural stuff. And the occasional chess game. Also cultural.
I never thought about how much leeway I have here, I’m just happy to be able to put up the occasional post. I know I’m the junior partner here and I’m happy for the privilege.
The Skipper set an incredibly high standard for freedom of thought and creativity. I still miss him and the others we’ve lost over the years.
I never thought of a specialty, just odd bits on how the world moves. You know most of my opinions, I’ve repeated them here and elsewhere so much that I’m getting tired of voicing them. It seems either I’m preaching to the choir or no one is listening. It’s minds I want to stir.
The Skipper set an impossible standard. I certainly don’t measure up. The day he passed I was actually in St. Louis, MO to meet him for lunch. On my way home from Branson. He never answered my cellphone calls. Didn’t learn why until I got home. Mr. Christian had taken over for a time and gave me the bad news. Some really deranged people wanted ME to takeover BMEWS then. Luckily, I, and others, thought that was a bad idea and Drew/peiper now run BMEWS.
Also, you have plenty of leeway as long as you don’t post any cucumbers!
Drew will get you for that!
BTW Drew, I’m working, part-time, but it’s enough that I can afford another small donation to BMEWS. Look in your mail the next week or two.
Good to now, although the blog expenses are covered fully for this year.
You may not remember it, but Wardmama has made a couple of posts here in the deep past, quite large essays that she needed to write. They were very well done. Any time that “L” wants the job, even if she can only post once every few weeks, she is more than welcome. All she has to do is email me. If she doesn’t want it, that’s fine too. She already writes more comments than almost anyone. Come to think of it, that’s how Mr. Christian roped me in!

Maybe it will be the new grandbaby due in a couple of weeks (YIKES, is it really almost NOVEMBER?!!!)

Rich K - the ‘behalf of the common good’ gave the answer away.
She would be a thousand times worse than Bill or even Obama - as I feel that she would do anything for power - anything. Bill always seemed more concern with his own personal ‘interests’ than being power mad.
I worry that she would work to end Presidential term limits or elections. And thanks to the Dems, RINOs and Obama - America is so far down the 3rd world socialist cesspool trail - she would be the nails in the coffin.
Having said that Drew, let me know when the check shows up.
