WOULD YOU BELIEVE THE NUMBNUTS BMEWS NET-NANNY BLOCKED THE ABOVE LINK?
OH MY GOD! IT HAS THE WORD SEX IN IT!! CHANGE THE * IN THE WORD ‘SEX’ AND TRY IT..

    (HERE’S AN EXERPT)
“I don’t see anything here that shows this young man has been psychologically damaged by her actions. And don’t forget, this was mutual consent,” (the Judge) said, according to court transcripts. The case points up what some see as a double standard: Incidents involving female teachers and male students, although they happen less often, appear underreported and treated less severely because the boys involved don’t see anything wrong with it or are reluctant to tell authorities.
“I think our society sort of says to the boy: ‘Congratulations, that’s great. Everybody fantasizes about having a sexual relationship with an older woman,’” said Bob Shoop, an education professor at Kansas State University and an expert witness in 30 court cases involving sexual abuse in schools.
    *****************************************************************

The article says there is no nationwide database on teacher-student sex incidence. Several websites have articles on the subject, but also have obvious agendas. (On that subject, I’m wondering if the 14 y/o Skipper was fondled by Mrs. Grundy.)

  2. OINK: the BMEWS “net nanny” blocked the word because it was used in a hyperlink. This is done to prevent spammers from cramming my comments sections with porn links. As you can see, it is OK to use the word (SEX) just not in a hyperlink.

And no, the young Skipper was never fondled by a teacher.

(not that I would have objected if Mrs. xxxxxxxx, my 12th grade English teacher had offered. Unfortunately, she was fired mid-year for having an affair with Coach xxxxxxx. They were both married - just not to each other.)

However, my first year in college at the University Of Alabama was made very pleasant by a long-running affair with a teacher at Tuscaloosa High School. She was only four years older than me, so no big deal. Although legally speaking she was contributing to the delinquency of a minor since Alabama, at that time, considered boys to be minors until age 21. I was only 19. I did not feel violated though for some reason. She also introduced me to marijuana, a drug I had a brief flirtation with (hell, it was 1968 - what do you expect?).

I sometimes wonder what happened to that ol’ gal? Sigh ...

So much for the Skipper’s “True Confessions” moment for the day.

    cool smile

  3. And another thing .... it wasn’t so much the “teacher has sex with student” part of this story that pissed me off. It was the “run away to Mexico with the kid” that really irked me. That is crossing over the line (and the Rio Grande).

    cool grin

  4. Skipper: Isn’t it ironic how we seem years away, if ever, from real Artificial Intelligence, but one of the first things computers mastered was Artificial Stupidity?

  5. What’s puzzling me is this. Exactly what constitutes third degree sodomy? There again maybe it’s better not to know!

  6. OCM, yes.

We spend so much time microscopically inspecting men as threats that we totally overlook the nefarious toodling of women. Recently there was an airline that forced a man traveling alone to change seats because a minor aged girl was seated next to him! That’s all, just sitting there. The assumption was that the man possed a threat simply by being a man.

    Pathetic.

  7. LBJ: Second & 3rd degrees of sodomy ("abominable and detestable crime against nature") relate to the age (<14 vs. <17) or mental incapacity of the victim. The <17 only applies when the partner is over 21. First degree in involves rape.

All sodomy involves non-procreative sex.  I will leave that to your imagination.  I’m happy to say goodbye, farewell, and AMF to these laws, age of victim aside.

In the memorable words of your esteemed countryman, Sir Winston, “It is impossible to obtain a conviction for sodomy from an English jury. Half of them don’t believe that it can physically be done, and the other half are doing it.”

  8. Thanks for clearing that up Oink. I think I grasp the first degree part, it just struck me as bizarre that you could have more than one degree.

I think Churchill would have a hard time getting elected in today’s multi-culti, anything goes (as long as it isn’t hetero) Britain.

Oh and Cat admit it, you were curious too.

  9. LBJ & OCM—The worst is rape, next worse is very young, then there’s your everyday jailbait in third place.

I forget who said that the enemy of the ideal is the merely good.  Contrarywise, there is bad, worse, worser, & then monstrous shit.

I recall a traditional Catholic father who was a friend. He wasn’t at all happy that his daughter was going to the altar pregnant. I consoled him that there are a whole lot worse things than a good monogomous instinct that jumped the gun.  Also sex is at the bottom of the list of ways to become an evil person.  Pride, hatred, envy are so much worse, despite not being considered scandalous.

  10. Cat, you are right, most men have a left ball and a right ball.

And in the middle, there is usually a prick.

    LOL

  13. (OINK’s head breaks the ocean’s surface as he struggles to raise the level of discourse.)

LBJ:  I heard a story of a college admissions board which was faced with a peculiar applicant. His academic record was spotty, but he showed flashes of brilliance and strong character.  They eventually decided to accept him.  The college president congratulated them on their judgement—he had take Winston Churchill’s “resume” as a young lad and doped it up as if it were a current application.

  14. An excellent story, Oink.  I appreciate your efforts to keep the tone of the discourse up.  But I say, old chap, we simply MUST do something about that prick in the middle.  He even illustrated matters for us in #19, what?

    LOL
