1. Damn, that Aishwarya is gorgeous. Shame that in 25 years, she’ll be just another Indian granny, with the steel gray hair in a bun, the ugly glasses, and the straight up and down sari. And the attitude. Oh boy, the attitude.

   It happens to all of them. Always.

   Such a shame. Bloom early, and then go to seed.

2. PS - the flag is wrong in your pin-up. Sure looks like 50 states to me.
   “Join the Navy and see the world” was a pre-WWII campaign, wasn’t it? [Turtler??] ... later “from the bottom of Pearl Harbor” was cynically appended.

   48 states flag was 6 x 8 stars.
   49 states flag was 7 x 7, if there ever even was one.

   So if it’s “50’s” pin-up, it would be after August 1959.

   funny thing though ... I looked and looked, but I never found that slogan on any Navy recruiting posters from WWI onwards. I’m sure it musta been ... it’s the classic line.

   I did however find several posters that today seem rather gay. RATHER gay. But I think that’s our very cynical, tainted modern perspective. Heck, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory seems like a pedophile fetish flick these days. we are all corrupted.

5. Drew, Sorry. I should have explained this.
   The site specializes in taking old posters and then adding the stuff you see.I mean the girl may be original but they added the flag.  That’s my understanding anyway.

6. I think that slogan See The World came after WW2. I really don’t recall seeing Navy posters with that slogan prior. Which means not a thing as I couldn’t have seen all the posters that must have been produced over the years.
