  1. damn that glow-ball warming, anyway…

In NH, that’s not considered “snow”, that’s just a heavy frost.

  2. Frost, my ass! It’s already four inches deep and still coming down heavy. Whiteout conditions! It’s the end of the world! Everyone, run away!

  3. Just about exactly five years ago, (Feb 6, 2001)to the day, NH had one of its (in)famous three-footer-plus blizzards, and then again, six weeks later (March 21, 2001).

These days are etched into my memory, because on the first one, I had a slip and fall, blew out my right knee and was in a full leg cast for six weeks. The second big storm was one day after that cast was removed.

Around here, we get four inches in May…

  4. Yeah RP, Heavy frost here in MA too! Say, how was that 46 deg. and RAIN on top of Mt. Washington last week. Not many times in Feburary! (or March, April, or May for that matter!) LOL

  5. Now, THIS is snow…

  6. See Skip ... Not to worry ... call us back if it’s still going about next Monday!! LOL LOL LOL

  7. St. Louis area, eh? Now, you, too, can tune into of Boston’s most outspoken Conservative radio talk show guys, Jay Severin. He’s on KMOX 1120 6 to 9PM Central, 7 to 10PM Eastern time. 96.9 FM in Boston.

I looked on the weather radar map, this one is just a tiny passing flurry, a mere snow shower, a fleeting frozen freshet.  Hardly worthy of breaking out the long pants, sweater and boots for this one… LOLLOLLOL

  8. I’m East—we had a record warm January, with very little snow. Ain’t over yet.

Posted by Oink    United States   02/08/2006  at  02:25 PM

  9. Ahh THAT must be the storm heading toward my folks (Louisville KY)
4 in of snow? That would be enough to call off school where I went (Spencer Co, KY Home of Taylorsville Lake)

Surprisingly enough there’s no snow on the ground here in Maine (unless you count the few piles of snow still stubbornly sticking around from the last storm)

Oink - Have to agree with you, it’s been a weird start to the year weather wise. Hell, Elizabethtown KY got hit with two tornadoes - on New Years Day. Damn tornado season don’t start till what, April?

  10. Severa: The Nov ‘05 tornado in Evansville was a killer.  I was shocked when I saw the swath, which reminded me of a B52 bombing.  If you get unseasonably warm weather in Indiana, you know the payback’s gonna be a mutha.

  11. Bring it on.. But I won’t hold my breath down here in Florida.. LOL

  12. Sincerest condolences, Skipper.  Bone dry here about 35m SW of Chi-town.

  17. Over here in Southwest Missouri, we’d be thrilled to get some of that.  Our lakes are all drying up.  We’ve had about 1/8” of snow so far this season, and it only lasted about an hour.  Of course, February is supposed to be our heavy month, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.  There are parts of Stockton Lake you can walk across.  It’s pitiful!

  18. 2-12-06 Headline: SNOWSTORM SLAMS EAST COAST

The Indiana Snow gods smiled on us; just two light dustings, soon gone.

  19. we’re expecting 5-10 in of snow today. Yippie…

  20. Severa: From me, your word of the day: Schadenfreude

  21. 2/13/06 ... 18” here in my section of Messoftwoshits. All in a 17 hour period. Now THAT’s a snow storm!
All cleaned out and sitting at work at 7:30AM.
