We Needed Obama To Show Us The Light

 

1. Yes I see the point - but you know what, was it really necessary to risk our economic, social and World future - to have to wake up?

   That in itself is a very sad commentary on America of today.

   But his 24/7 Health care is OK push - The Won is showing that despite having control of both the House and the Senate - it isn’t going his way. I wonder why not?

   Always said - are the Dems in Congress more afraid of their constituents or the DNC? - it appears that there is enough who are indeed more afraid of their constituents.

   Thomas Jefferson said it best - “When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”

2. Steve McCann over at American Thinker, in his essay Obama and the last hurrah of Liberalism, argues that it may not be too late to save America. That perhaps we got the government we deserved the government we needed - needed to WAKE US UP from our generations long apathetic slumber.

   Wow! Deja Vu!

   Way back in ‘77 or ‘78 I’ve always remembered this quote from my friend Bill. It was during a History class in high school, and Bill opined:

   “Americans are too apathetic to let change happen.”

   The question was would America ever descend into empire or socialism.

   I thought Bill was a genius. Until I remembered his other observation:

   “We deserve what we vote for.”

   Okay. So Bill was still a genius in high school.

   Nowadays, Bill has a Master’s in History, and is unemployed.

   Is he still a genius? He’s sitting on his @ss, drawing unemployment and some form of SSI. I’m busting my @ss everyday just to keep from being canned.

   Yep, Bill is still the genius in my high school class.

4. Voter Registration Checkers should be armed. Every state in the country should rebuild it’s voter registration database from the ground up, right now. You show up and get your picture taken. And there won’t be any more absentee ballots, but we’ll open the polls for 10 days from 6am till 10pm.

   If you show up to vote and don’t match your picture in the database, you are subject to felony arrest. On the spot.

5. Your too generous Drew - right now here it is 0630 to 1930 - if you can’t make it in that amount of time - I’m sorry but you don’t deserve to vote. There is a need for absentee - I vote it as I’m a poll worker. My daughter uses it as she is away at college and my son & his wife use it as they move every 3 years. Other than people in rehab who can’t leave where they are - nope, can’t think of an excuse any able body person needs to vote AB. At. All.

   Other than it’s another part of the Vote Early, Vote Often scam. BTW, I read OH is not sitting quietly on the Brunner (SoS) stunt to enable the register today/vote today scam that enabled Obama to take OH - there has been a lawsuit pushing an investigation. And of course the OH house over turned that crappy law about a week after the election.

   Gotta love the Libs - anything to steal, cheat and lie to win.
