2. Nice call Steel. You called it better than 80% of The Weekly Standard contributors too. They, like NRO, and a formidable right wing think tank, so that is no small feat.

   Vilmar, I agree completely with your advice on the whining “unity” bullshit. The left fucked up big time this go-around. The future of western civilization was at stake, and all they had to offer was moral relativity and international weakness. In retrospect I can’t believe I was so worried.

   I really don’t know what the fuck to do now. I’m a political junkie, and my hookup to the sweet shit just ran dry. It’s all low grade now.

   I can’t say I’m unhappy that I no longer see current events through the prism of “will this help us or hurt us” though.

   Jobs reports will no longer tighten my shoulders.

   Bad news from Iraq will continue to be bad, but we must prevail regardless of cost.

   Brit Hume will replace Dan Rather at CBS (any takers on that?). 

   Really, the magnitude of what this all means has yet to hit me. I’m happy, but I think the best is yet to come.

   BTW, I haven’t thanked Allan and Vilmar yet. I don’t really have the right words. All I can say is you guys were an invaluable resource, sounding board, and morale booster through this whole roller coaster ride. You helped us get through the worst moments, and fuck, there were enough. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are forever grateful for your patriotism and righteous contribution to the arena of ideas.

   As for what to do?  Trust me, this is not over.

   Never forget the Hildabeast is lurking in the corner.  As is Edwards and the whack-job, Howard Dean.
