  1. The decline of the British continues.

Now they are trying to upstage Musée du Louvre for some unknown reason.

Never have figured out why the Musée du Louvre built a glass pyramid right in the middle…

  2. that bldg. is in Canada ... I should have said that.
Not my night tonight. Wasn’t my day either.
Yeah ... that awful pyramid is an eyesore to me. Glad I was there before they put that up.

  3. Canada? Not an excuse for poor architect’s vision. Looks like an alien from “Indepence Day” crashed into the building.

Glad you agree with me on ‘that awful pyramid’. The only point of which was to give Dan Brown an ending for the “Da Vinci Code”.

(FYI, I don’t dismiss the premise of the Da Vinci Code. I highly doubt the conclusion.)

  4. I thought it was a Hollywood set for a disaster movie on first look…

  5. Ah yes, the ROM.  A Grand old Limestone building with a giant crystalline cancer growing out of it thanks to a very over-budget renovation.  *sighs*

Some pictures of the building prior to the cancer are here:  Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto Ontario Canada

The last few pictures show what it looks like now.  Just.... yuck.

Then again, it is in the city I like to think of as, “Flush twice, it’s a long way to Toronto.”
