2. After posting this story, I got out my copy of Treason and started rereading it. Wow. You could use it as a training manual to teach kids about media bias and political smear campaigns.

   As for the reality of the Red Menace, Ann reminds us that FDR and Truman had a government full of communist spies and sympathizers. Alger Hiss (spy) advised FDR at Yalta, where he gave away Poland. Polish freedom was the reason England and France started fighting the Nazis in WWII. She also reminds us that this same group was behind the formation of the United Nations, and helped steer policy that caused China to fall to Mao. And every single one of these people were Democrats.

   The parallels between leftist attitudes towards communism then and islamofascism now are glaringly obvious. In many cases the rhetoric is identical. So are the media biases and the revisionist histories.

   Hmm, I think it’s time I gave 1984 a good rereading as well.

   Oh, aye. Indeed. And Paul, I think that Shrillary is but a figurehead. Why her? You ever watch history tapes of Adolf? Something about those sort that fires the fanatics. But she’s not as “brilliant” as they would have the core element of this robot society think, by any stretch. But they need someone to hype, and she’s a CLINTON. Ooooh.

5. cmblake6 I agree - I would put Hillary more into the anti-Christ arena but she can’t even pull that off - she is just so hard and cold - even when she laughs and smiles. There is no humanity there - so I guess she is really a socio-path.

   I just can’t believe how we are sliding toward this onegloballworld-ization - and People are not standing up and screaming. And yet - I talked with the judges (poll workers) I worked with on Tues. Dems all - and they are the same like mind (lower taxes, kick the corrupt polis to the curb, smaller gov - even pro-life) - so maybe (as shown in the last umpteen elections) the majority of Americans are more moderate - but the kooks, moonbats, and lunatic left have taken control of the train and are running it off the cliff and of course the msm is screeding their goals and praise all the way.

   Let’s just hope that the new ‘media’ helps wake up America before it is too late.

One of the worst results of the era is one that isn’t talked about much.  That is how we became so scared of Communism that we could not effectively analyze what was happening and what to do about it.  Dissenting viewpoints were often written off as “communistic”, and if you weren’t careful, you might get branded too.  I was often down range of some of those accusations.  I wasn’t then and I’m not now a communist or one of their sympathizers (the whole system just doesn’t work), but that made little or no difference.  All in all, it really reminds me of being attacked by liberals for not liking Bill Clinton.  My politics haven’t really changed, but the environment around me sure has.

   And herein lies the rub. There may be a lot of people on a train, but the conductor is separate from them and has the go switch. The truth of median ground voters must be impressed, and those who wish for the results that would save this nation from “onegloballworld-ization” CAN be stopped. But ONLY if enoigh people wake up.
