I’ve been reading a book about the British government system. Yes, you’re screwed.
I just left my polling place. I was #8, it was crowded. I got there at ten minutes to 7:00 and the polls opened at 7:00. When they announced that the poll was open it was a rush to the voting stations. It was crowded, the poll workers were excited (they are never excited) and I kept thinking about this post. I kept thinking “I’m an American and I am one lucky SOB.” God Bless America. God Bless the United Kingdom too. It’s not too late ro rise up and take it back mates. It’s not too late. Cheers!
I hope you are right Gray John, but if the Kenyan gets four more years I fear that the numbers of welfare dependent Democrats will make it increasingly difficult to get anything other than a Democrat government in the future. In Britain this is how the Labour party operate. There are millions of civil service workers and workshy deadbeats to ensure they get re-elected. And even when the right polls more outright votes the way the boundaries are set the socialists can still get more bums (literally) on seats in Parliament.
the way the boundaries are set
Lyndon, I’ve heard that word without paying a lot of heed to it but how does that work here?
Are you saying they change boundaries with each election? Curious to understand how the system works. Thanks.
Jay its not done at every election. There is a “boundary commission” which periodically reviews the boundaries for constituencies. In the past the system was weighted towards city constituencies which favour Labour. The Conservatives wanted a review of the system, but they have to have those wortless opportunist Liberal shits to go along with this in order to get a majority in a vote.
Well after the Conservatives supposedly reneged on their part of the deal the Liberal shit in chief Nick Clegg said he would no longer support this. The system stinks and this piece of human detritus is happy to keep the status quo.

Thanks L. I knew you’d have the answer. This is interesting stuff.
