A metaphor…
The dog house represents BMEWS.
Linus is the Skipper, the blanket is his control over the blog.
Snoopy represents those who would throw the Skipper out.
In the ensuing fight BMEWS is damaged, but the Skipper retains his control and rides on the back of those who would throw him out.
How’s that for pop psychology?
