While you are starting to sound like a moonbat liberal, you’re spot on about this issue. As a nation, we have to get this illegal immigration nonsense under control or there will be blood shed. Until Mexico steps up and puts their house in order, we should clamp down our border so tight, even the butterflies need a passport to get back in.
The local news last evening had a story about the phasing-in of passports for United States citizens traveling through Canada from/to Alaska. Seems somehow way out of balance compared with the porous nature of our southern border. This is one of very few policy areas that I completely disagree with the Bush administration. If we don’t act as a soverign nation and control our borders, we will soon end up like the EuRopePeons.
legislooters
HA....that’s good!
At times like these, being a “Civilised” country is a downer.
Think about this, hunting licenses were still being issued for Queensland Aboriginals less than 80 years ago. Why you may ask? The answer: To stop them from walking over farmers property during what is known as their Walk About ( nomadic migration), and they were/are the natives of the land.
My point after digressing, if the illegals are aware of what can happen to them when they sneak across the border, tough face the music. The US government needs to address this issue in the same way they dealt to Saddam, with force, not pussy footed, mealy mouthed politics.
It seems that the Goody 2 Shoes in society need to step back do the figures on matters that impact upon US society.
Monies spent supporting illegals, education, health, housing, accidents, crime to name a few. Take these matters on 1 at a time, be honest, break down the $$$s on how much is spent on multiple languages having to be embraced within schools, how about street signs in languages other than English. Then you have racial sensitivity issues, these aliens having more rights due to their culture i.e. getting off murder due to it is customary where they come from to kill ones wife over menial things like wanting a new wife.
Housing, well California wouldn’t be facing a problem now would they? They rid the State of illegals, pack them up and ship them out and I am sure there would be a glut of housing available.
Health, what can be said but millions are spent giving free health care to these people while the common man has to ensure that he has comprehensive coverage before even contemplating whether he REALLY is ill enough to go see that Doctor etc, you get my meaning.
Sorry all, I had better stop rambling and make my first cup of coffee on this rather cool Wednesday morning.
mona Charen had a chilling report about a group of illegals stopped by the border patrol; one of the agents just happened to be fluent in Arabic and realized that the “Mexicans” he stopped were acually Arabs. The upshot? His supervisor released them because there was not enough room to hold them.Build a Berlin /wall at the border and shoot those trying to climb it.
I say stop it now. IF all the rest of the country waits to long to fix this they can say good bye to what rights they have left because it won’t be the UN running the show it’ll be Mexico itself.
It may be worse than We think:
Mexico’s Emerging Silicon Valley
Guadalajara has become a hot spot for manufacturing and engineering
services in the electronics industry, thanks to government funding,
local engineering graduates and outsourcing trends.
Electronic news
I think we had better start making a fence
that runs from Sacto to St. Louis NOW, because
in 20 or 30 years everything south of that will be Mexico.
“I know, I’m starting to sound like a crap-spouting Moonbat Liberal when I say that but can you give me a better explanation?”
No, Allan, you sound like a reasonable person asking some rather obvious and reasonable questions that many of us have been asking for some time now. Both parties just keep pissing on us and telling us it’s raining.
I just know you will love what the Dayton city commission just approved today:
City commissioners voted Wednesday to accept the Marticula Card as a valid form of identification in providing city services. The card is issued by the Mexican consulate as a form of ID for Mexican nationals living in the U.S.
Of course, all five city commisars commissioners are Dummycrats. There’s more on my blog along with the link to the article. (shameless plug )
