Just as I thought-a choirboy.
He was obviously well known in the (neighbor) hood.
These days, sadly, a 17 year old is no longer considered a child. They are, for the most part, considered adults who must accept the ramifications of their actions.
Children nowdays are growing up too fast and discovering that growing up isn’t quite what they believed it would be.
For this kid, it’s over.
Let’s see:
Kid was - according to the popular theory - selling drugs on the street,
Kid was - according to everybody - running from the police even as the events transpired,
Kid was known in the neighborhood for among other things, assault, I believe it said?
Kid was - according to everybody - forcing his way into someone else’s home.
And someone wonders why the defender just didn’t “...come and get [the family]?”
Because it is too damned late, darling. For about the past twelve years, at a guess. This is another kid who was, in one form or other, taught to get killed.
Oh please Melissa,
Personally, I’m sure he was shot because he was so well-known. 17 is NOT an excuse for criminal behavior. I can’t tell you how many 17-yr-olds I’ve cheerfully sent to prison for their anti-social behavior.
Christopher darlin’!
You missed my sarcasm.
That is precisely what I meant ;)
It does not matter how old they are!
Personally, I fall along the lines of:
If you can’t do da time, don’t do da crime!
Which also includes the death penalty, whether sentenced by a judge and jury or, as in this case, street justice, being shot as an intruder!
Sorry Melissa. Guess I did miss the sarcasm. It could be read either way.
And please. Don’t call me ‘darlin’’ in public. I haven’t told my wife about us yet.
/sarcasm
Oops!
Southern thing!
How does a teenager could turn into a drug dealer with so many strong male role models around? Where are the baby daddies?
