  1. it’s not because Mac’s are necessarily more secure, but more likely due to the fact that there are many more windows computers out there then Apple Computers…

  2. Many years ago, a friend of mine created what he called the PC PMS bug. while not a virus, it had to be manually installed, it was a lot of fun. For five days each month, the program would ask a series of random questions every time the computer was booted. Sometimes it would let the operator in, other times it would employ the PC park utility and shut down the system after displaying a LEAVE ME ALONE screen. His dad spent several thousand dollars trying to get programmers to rid his system of the virus, it was on a mainfreame at his business.
I don’t know if any of the secretaries ever figured out that the answers didn’t matter, and they could simply hit enter until it opened DOS. Most of them begged and pleaded with the computer instead. I wish I had a copy sometimes.

  3. Sometimes I wonder if the antivirus companies are making viruses on the side to drum up business.

As for the whole “Invulnerable Mac” stuff, I told one of my buddies that one or two good Mac-specific viruses would cripple every Mac out there.  Any coincidence that most Mac-users are moonbats?

  5. Viruses make good business for me.  I visit several homes and businesses every day to remove bugs from their computers, usually resulting from inadequate protection and kids looking at porn.

  6. The Mac is now days a UNIX computer. I was working on UNIX computers before Bill Gates invented MS DOS. They are more secure than Windows by several orders of magnitude. The late great Allan Kelly was as much of a UNIX bigot as I am. Woe be unto you if you were running his precious Oracle database on a Windows platform.

  7. Well yeah.. The Max is now days Unix.. and i’ll not bemoan *nix systems too much.. but I’d rather have my *nix boxes plain jane.. quite a bit cheaper that way too.. mostly it’s the Apple Fanboys who think apple walks on water.. Also I can get linux for free with free upgrades.. Apple wants to release a new named version of OSX that you have to pay for every year.. for me it’ll be a mix of Windows and Linux.. to each their own though…
