I’m just an ignorant colonial, but IMO the good guys should be “armed with guns.” That makes it one hell of a lot easier to take out the bad guys.
Difficult to judge in this one. These people http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/2011/04/wilful-lie.html tend to see it as a botched police operation. My view is this. The police just like so many other aspects of British society have been infiltrated by political correctness.
It has become significantly worse in recent years under Bliar and the idiot from Fife. A couple of nights back there was a documentary on one of the BBC channels. They were following a group of foreign policemen and women who were working alongside UK police to see how things were done. At one point they were in a city centre at “chucking out time” say 11pm or maybe 1am, the early hours anyway, with lots of drunks.
One of the foreign police was a young Aussie. At one point a group of drunks gave the UK copper the finger and walked off. The Aussie was really annoyed and said he wouldn’t stand for it in Australia, the female UK copper just shrugged and said it was better to let them do it and make like it was no big deal.
This is what is wrong at the core. The same shit happens in schools where teachers partly through left wing indoctrination and partly through left wing judiciary allow low level hooliganism and bad behaviour to go unpunished. The same in every aspect of life. people get a “life” sentence and are out in ten years or less. Six months inside means more like six weeks. The liberals have utterly shagged Britain and we are now reaping the results.
This is what happens when good people get fed up with the police state, and as the plod are handicapped by the PC crap there they are not real men so pose little threat to good folk. Yes read the report on EU, when will the turgid elite come to see that in this day of phone cams and uTube they cannot get away with this BS?
Lyndon, I see no reason to disbelieve what North wrote, it was an inept eviction, closing off a street full of bars at closing time, what could go wrong?? the Tesco thing is a red herring, but the way I see it if the locals do not want a Tesco then see that it gets too little trade to stay, the bean counters will soon pull the plug if there is no profit. I dont like the way the supermarkets have aided the greedy government, bot national and loval, not to mention the EU in destroying town centers but if not for Tesco and the UK flavour of Wall Mart then I would have been struggling to afford to eat there.Posted by Chris Edwards
