  1. In all truth Drew I never wouldda thought to do that table you put together. Musta been a piece of cake. Right?
    Yeah ... I know. I think.

Well done. And you are so right about the appeasers here, still bending over backwards and many complaining the UK is not taking in its fair share. Which isn’t at all true.

Check Mail on line, not sure I can do tonight as previous post took too long. But some Germans are raising a fuss, they’re being called Nazis. Don’t really know as the left labels everyone as such. I don’t care if they are at this point. Merkel has opened gates to 1 million invaders. There has to be some opposition from somewhere at some point.
Sadly ... it will not be enough.

  2. People often give lip service to surveys - who knows who is listening.

Politicians rely on the innumeracy of the people so the following is met with surprise & disbelief: With a lower-limit estimate of 1.4 billion Muslims in the world, a small percentage of fanatics, as in a half-percent (0.5%), is 7,000,000 fanatics. Add 500,000 for every additional 0.1 billion (100 million).

This “small percentage”, fervent trained activists, can achieve a lot, as demonstrated by their ability to (a) intimidate the majority and (b) get a significant number to believe absolutely that the Koran, as interpreted and enforced by the radicals, defines their life and all the problems they face, societal, financial, and educational are the fault of infidels - especially those who put uppity ideas into females, and (c) sacrifice what most would consider a large number and still have a large force available.

An organized force of that size, willing to be patient, can reach a tipping point within decades; from there the growth is exponential. Liberals seem to belittle, refuse to recognize and will certainly not seriously consider the possibility, much less the ramifications, of a terrorist population eventually overwhelming an election in a small town.

  3. Here’s some reality for ya;
“The lack of separation between spiritual and civic life is not the only problem with Islam. Sharia is counter-constitutional in its most basic elements — beginning with the elementary belief that people do not have a right to govern themselves freely. Islam, instead, requires adherence to sharia and rejection of all law that contradicts it. So we start with fundamental incompatibility, before we ever get to other aspects of sharia: its systematic discrimination against non-Muslims and women; its denial of religious liberty, free speech, economic freedom, privacy rights, due process, and protection from cruel and unusual punishments; and its endorsement of violent jihad in furtherance of protecting and expanding the territory it governs.”
As long a people like peiper can prove their Irish Catholic bona fides, wink wink, things will be fine for those in Britain. Others, not so much.
    big surprise

  4. 77 to 80 million is 1% of the entire world’s population. It’s nearly equal to the population of Germany. Ever man woman and child. I figure that the real figure is at least 10 times that.  After all, when a random stranger approaches you on the street for a survey, and the question is “How many guns do you own and what kind?”, what’s your answer?

Peiper - tables suck. Even if you make one generic table data line and just copy/paste it, you still have to fill in every last friggin’ value by hand. It would have been 100 times faster to just make the thing Excel and then turn a screencap of that into a little .jpg.

  5. Drew, tables suck. Yeah, so I gathered.

I saw the post and brought Jennifer over to the puter. Said take a look at this, she did,
Repeated old mantra .... “Drew is brilliant”.
That had to be hellish. So of course I have to ask since you mentioned it.  Why weren’t you able to use the easier method?

  6. Kudos Drew, and well said. That said:

Right, so 76 million people ADMIT to supporting insane levels of murderous violence in the name of a “religion”.

OBJECTION!!! That’s 76 Million people ADMIT to supporting IS. Which is just a single practitioner (and an upstart among the established thugocracies) of insane levels of murderous violence in the name of a “religion.”

I’m sure most of the Iranian Mullahs see no contradiction between supporting insane levels of murderous violence and opposing IS>

But yeah; gotta love all this?

Mark Steyn has spoken a fair bit about this problem and what it means for us. It’s true that not all Muslims are Terrorists. But that’s like saying not all WWII era Germans were SS. The sheer number that ARE should be galling, and the willing support or at least acceptance of so many of the rest should be even moreso.

Ed summed it up dang well. We’ll need more munitions.
