You know Drew - this would be funny - if it wasn’t the liberal left (i.e. democrats) - who put those damn restrictive laws onto the Mental Health professionals in the first damn place. It’s one of the reasons I did not finish my social work degree - being told so many times we can’t do this, you can’t say that. And oh, btw - (dodging the flack immediately) when I was in college studying sociology and psychology - homosexuality was listed in the DSM.
And that’s another thing that the liberal left changed.
And look at where these stupid laws have gotten us.
*Every* vet, cop, firefighter, or EMS professional who has ever been treated for PTSD loses their rights under this! ;\
I agree RB. Most especially when the Medical Records go Online and this Administration can appoint someone/agency to snoop through them all and set up a whole new data base. This entire PPACA mess - was intentional - and I wish that enough people would wake the hell up and DO SOMETHING.
Can you imagine the number of people who were NOT diagnosed properly or fast enough - that maybe, just maybe were put on mental health treatment - even for a few months? People who have done nothing wrong and certainly aren’t mentally ill - being punished by this out-of-control Federal Government.
My best man lost his privilege to carry in Ohio when the records showed he’d been treated for PTSD in 1991 - all outpatient - and had to go to the court and fight the issue to get it back. He won but the point is that this information creates a situation where the most experienced and combat worthy individuals are marginalized so they won’t have the ability to fight back against a tyrannical government and anyone not following the law will be taken out one at a time.
Redbear - I agree - like the control and invasion of privacy that the PPACA is was intentional - this is all meant to render as many people who can/would fight back - unable to do so or at the very least intimidated into ‘compliance’.
Very scary times.
