  2. At first I had the same knee jerk reaction reading the story. But then I have to say that your take is the correct one. Sure, tacky. Agreed. But you’re right Drew.
    And btw, much sadder still is that it did not have to be that way. Ho Chi Minh was the potential friend the west turned it’s back on in 1919, at the Paris talks.  He was merely a lowly waiter actually, but also a rep trying to get recognition for his country, based on all the insincere BS about rights and the independence of nations. He didn’t start out being being anti west. He was brought there by the stuffed and well fed shirts who couldn’t spare the time to hear his argument for national sovereignty.
