1. Lord!!!  Manlow is such a wuss.

   He’s afraid of a beautiful woman who is articulate and has a brain.

   Doesn’t say much for his attitudes toward strong women, does it?

2. ...and again, we have liberals claiming to represent diversity and acceptance, but refusing to deal with or accept someone who doesn’t agree with them.  That is the basic problem with modern liberalism - it’s not liberal.  If you disagree with a liberal, you are attacked and/or shunned.  Mr. Manilow is merely the latest public example. 

   If I disagree with a “conservative” I find that we can generally have a decent dialog and (hopefully) each get something useful from that dialog, even if neither of us converts the other.  Nothing is gained for anyone by ad hominem attacks and refusing to engage in communication, especially on the hot button issues of the day. 

   A long time ago, my father taught me the concept and value of the Loyal Opposition.  Then again, the opposition must still be loyal to the country....hmmmm think we’ve got a problem here.

3. Haven’t you heard?

   It was the white male that was responsible for the creation of the evil United States of America.

   Every evil ever occurring on this earth can be primarily laid at the feet of the white male.

   Slavery, war, genocide, religion (well...Christianity which is the only one that is a problem), pestilence (all of the diseases started in Europe and were spread by white men), starvation, and especially Global Warming.

   Everyone from NOW to Osama bin Laden has stated that removal of white men would end everything that is wrong with the earth.
