  1. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man give his life for his friend.”—John 15:13.

Yet another reason to allow CCL holders to carry at work.  Why must we offer ourselves up as sacrificial lambs to the slaughter?

    I’ll not submit.

  2. Ah but guys we all live in the land of - ‘if she had only left him’ mentality. This was said by a newscaster at the end of a story on a woman killed in, get this, a woman’s shelter! If you don’t get it then - there is no hope. I read - Next Time She’ll Be Dead - well worth the read if you have any interest at all why ‘domestic’ (there is nothing domestic about it) violence continues in America. Here is the key - it escalates as a woman gets stronger and tries to separate or leave.

I am appalled by the lack of concern for their fellow man/woman that exists in this country today. We let the thugs and punks get away with it and then bemoan, poverty or abuse as the ‘excuse’ du jour.

And perhaps in a few the family of Ms Clara will sue poor inept Charles for his non part in her demise - further increasing the chances in the future that anyone will even admit to having seen any mayhem/bad behavior ever again. Which then in turns makes the police’s job all that more harder and the thugs, punks and criminals win another round in their attempt to control others.

  3. Wardmama4, part of this has to do with the women’s liberation movement.  When women demand to be treated as an equal to men they don’t understand that with that treatment they lose the some of the protection offered them at one time by men.  Several times, recently, I’ve held the door open for women, only to be met with smart ass comments (a couple coming from very elderly women).  I will continue holding doors open for people of either sex who look as if they might need a hand, but smart ass comments do nothing but harden me.

It wouldn’t have taken much for Charles to distract the thug and possibly keep the woman from harm.  Sadly, what with situational ethics and no moral absolutes being widely taught, Charles may have decided that since it didn’t concern him directly then it was none of his business and backed off.

Our society bears much of the responsibility for what passes as morality today.

  6. Yes, I have to agree that things have indeed changed since I was Clara and had people telling me to pray more, be a better wife yada, yada, yada. When he was met at an airport by his XO, two MPs, and a psychiatrist (to expedite his admission to the 5th floor) - I suddenly was no longer ‘the problem’.

And yes I agree that the feminazis agenda has distorted, demeaned, deminished and twisted the male/female relationships and interactions - not to mention the girls gone wild and hooking up - which deminish it all again.

And that is why this ‘progressive’ and ‘social agenda’ crap is dangerous and vile. It does not improve ‘relationships’ or society - it is meant for two things and two things only - wrest control of people away from the individual and give it to the state and to make those in power ‘deciders’ of the acceptable and rules.

I like being taken care of (thank you very much), I’d give my eye teeth right now to be seen as a sex object (it’s been awhile - that old mommie and grandmommie thing does it in), and I am so old fashioned I believe in marriage (and only between man and woman). . .

Oh well, got to sweep out the cave - so it’s off to slave work I go.
