  1. Good for Tony, and good for Labour.  It would seem that after being in “labour” for many years, that party has finally birthed a man....

    wink

  2. Huzzzahh is right.  Best news in a long time!

Tanny, along with being a ‘man’ he is easily one of the world’s best speakers.  I could listen to him forever.

  3. Wonder how much we’ll hear about election theft this time....

    wink

  4. Damn! I was hoping we could get him to run for Governor of Texas.

  5. But he’s gotta get rid of that EU Constitution thing!

  6. The only thing he’s done that Conservatives should like about him is his support of Bush in Iraq.  I would have preferred it if Michael Howard and his conservatives won.

  8. SUHWEEEEET!!!!!  TONY WINS AGAIN!!!!  I think it goes to show that the people of our “unilateral” friends really and truly support us in this endeavor in Iraq (heck, I supported it so much that I not only voted for Bush, but I also joined the Army for that same reason).  Bush got re-elected, John Howard (Australian P.M.) and now Blair got re-elected.  This is great news.

  9. I hate to burst your bubble but it is not good news if you’re conservative. Tony Blair’s days are numbered. His successor (most likely Gordon Brown) is an old school socialist. He will have to raise taxes in the coming months to fund the thousands of public sector jobs that Labour has created.
Would you be celebrating if Kerry were elected?

Blair supported the US in Iraq because it was the right thing to do. He got away with it because he had a huge majority and the conservative party voted with him. If there were a vote on the Iraq war tomorrow he would lose because what he is left with are the socialist diehards who were never in favour of the war. I advise all you Blair cheerleaders to do a little research into his wifes work and hobbies. She is a human rights lawyer and a certifiable moonbat. You may ask yourself for example why it is that the UK can’t deport that hook handed f**kpig Abu Hamza. The reason is moonbat loony left lawyers like Cherie Booth/Blair who have forced laws on the statute books that prevent the UK deporting terrorists to countries that have the death penalty...such as the US!

I appreciate that Blair did the right thing by joining the US in ousting Saddam but overall he is still a socialist at heart and his long term goal is to sell Britain out and sign us up to the EU constitution. The US would have been better served if the tories had won the election. When Brown assumes power the closeness in the “special relationship” may well be tested.

  10. LyndonB is right. Tony Blair only looks good to you because he has been raiding the Conservatives’ wardrobe for the past 10 years. New Labour is only Old Labour in Tory clothes.

If there had been a Conservative government in power at the time, the British Army would still have joined the USA in the invasion of Iraq. In fact, our contribution would probably have been larger. But in that unique cack-handed New Labour way, even when they do the right thing they get it all wrong. Six months were wasted trying to get cooperation from the UN, which gave Saddam the time to create an underground resistance organisation after our armies had rolled over whoever was still wearing uniforms on that day. The rest you know. The Tories would have agreed with W that 1441 was enough justification to go in.

  11. And another thing....

Gordon Brown becoming PM will be disastrous for Britain, in both the short and long terms. I hear rumblings that he would amalgamate the Treasury with the power structures of Number 10. That would be like the IRS running the White House. You don’t want that!!
