  1. Good stuff but wasted on the always over-emoting gun grabbers.

    Gary

P.S. I can see only one glaring flaw in the article offhand and that would be the population density of VT Vs. DC.

Could someone correct me if I’m wrong?

  2. Mr. Christian,

If you took all those Vermonters and packed them into a little bitty area the size of DC, surely they would behave similiarly to those unfortunate folks.  Mr. Marsh’s comparision falls apart when one takes into account the “summer heat” factor.  That heat makes people crazy.  DC residents can’t help themselves: they are victims of nature.

Mr. Marsh can’t fool us with his fancy analysis.

As a demonstration I would bring Howard Dean to Washington and see what happens. Err… On second thought strike that idea.

  3. Thanks OCM ... just like speed does not kill, as the Ralph Naders of the world would like everyone to believe. STUPID DRIVERS KILL
Stoopid people do all kinds of stoopid things!

  4. Huh.  Vermont is a leafy green paradise and DC is a gov’t ghetto development.  My question, if I lived in DC, why WOULDN’T I kill someone?

  5. Most of my ideas are bases on my own experiences.  I debated an anti gunner with many of the arugments in the article.  In the end, I was told “I don’t care, no one should be allowed to own guns.” That is the true nature of what we are facing.  Guns scare some folks, those folks are spreading their fear and within the context of creating a Big Daddy government (folks in power prefer unarmend peasants anyhow), guns are part of the package of rights and privileges that we are supposed to give up because of someone else’s fear.

  6. Hmmm...another reason to live in Alaska.

  7. OT—a little, but relates to both this post and the two or three re: Oscars....

While I was actively avoiding the Oscars last night, I happened across a new Law & Order:SVU.  I’m pretty sure it was a newer episode since Mariska Hargitay had the reddish, mid-length hairstyle and it had the latest female ADA (Novak—another redhead or, more correctly, strawberry blonde)....ahh, must stay on topic....

Anyway, the case involved a child (11ish) who shot an evil rich dude who murdered his mother.  The PD tried to invoke a study which classifies gun violence as the same as infectious disease.  Not surprisingly, this PD was played by one of the moonbat refugees from “Designing Women”.  There were also some swipes at pro-2nd amendment lobby organizations whose names were changed, no doubt, to prevent defamation lawsuits.

The scriptwriters managed to almost balance out the script in the end; overall, though, the general tilt was slightly pro-gun “control”.  Anyone else see that one and have the same reaction?
