  1. Which is why I have to choke down a scream of rage and frustration every time I hear some idiot say “next thing they’ll want cannons” or something equally stupid.

Damnit, our Founding Fathers had just fought a war against a tyrannical regime.  They deliberately created a constitution to ensure we could stand up against a standing army.  THAT is what the 2nd is all about.

Lincoln murdered the Republic, and it’s gone down-hill since.  Yes, some things are better, but those problems COULD have been solved without destroying our system of Government.

    G*d help us.

  2. Well, someone finally gets it. Where do we draw the line? At nukes? I’d like to have one, but the only guy who can afford one is George Soros, and I’d just as soon not have one in his hands.
The court ruling fell so far short it makes me cry. No one should have their right regulated by any goofy body of government. Legislatures are even now working on ways to end run Scalia. They will tax ammo and supplies out of this world.
A strict constructionist view would have said not only can you not regulate their ownership except in the case of aliens, legal and otherwise, and criminals whose rights have been suspended, you can’t even tax them or their ammunition.
Am I nuts? That is what our founding fathers had in mind.
