soft lighting and soft focus will always work wonders. Low contrast backgrounds - a blond white woman against a cream/beige room - will soften things even more. Makes it easier for the digital enhancement squad to do their job.
This is how Hollywood, TV, and the fashion industry work. The perfection attained is significantly artificial. Now try explaining that to your teenage daughter when she gets depressed that her looks don’t come anywhere near those of the girls in the magazines and the videos.
I love how they blame her on the photoshop, as if she is in the editing room doing the work herself or screaming at her tech-monkeys to fix things.
