    Damn, these guys are acting like regular business people.

    I like the idea of avoiding any appearance of wrong doing, but I think people would bitch to high heaven if these guys paid for all this out of their own staff funds.

    Hey, I need to do a fact finding trip to Barbados to see if there are any salmon runs there that might compete with our runs here in the PacNorthwest.

  2. Screw the fact finding missions - if politicians weren’t sucking up to corporations and lobbyists

    they’d be making more rational laws

    they’d be sucking down a hell of a lot less money [i.e. making politics once again a PUBLIC SERVICE]

    taxes would be lower - rather than having to finance all the politicians perks

    prices would be lower on most things as the corporations and lobbyists would not be hitting us with the bill for the money to curry favor with politicos
