1. The five cent Iraqi gas deal is old news. A Google search on - iraq gasoline five cents - will turn up news items as old as 2003 on the low gas prices there. Anyone who expected cheap gas here in the US as a result of the war was just naive. Those of us who expected oil companies to cash in on the situation...well, guess who’s making near-record profits.

2. Skipper, I had a good chuckle at “In other news France sucks” too true.

   Much as I would like to own some LBJ memeorabilia I think 60K is a bit rich for my blood. I read once that the great man had to pull over after an extended driving/beer swilling session. He needed to take a leak. The Secret service guy had to get out as well and Lyndon peed down his leg. When the guard brought it to his attention LBJ said “Don’t worry son it’s my Presidential prerogative!” what a guy! Pity he was a Democrap.
