Ah, the festival of sun return. I didn’t even have time to try balancing an egg this year. But I got some fresh holly hung up here, just in case. And a tree that stays green all year ‘round. So I think my bases are covered. Plus I’ve got gifts aplenty put by, and lots of good food and wine for Saturnalia. Interesting how certain times of the year just seem natural for celebration, isn’t it? Harvest, solstice, spring planting, etc.
Well, thank Gaia the days are finally getting longer, though it will be 50 days until it really makes much difference. Happy Hogswatch to all!
As Stonehenge pre-date druids by many centuries, this is just silliness. But, pretty much harmless silliness. I’d like to be there just once on a solstice.
Wonder if any actual druid priest types actually wore such garish outfits? Likely. After all, look what the Sun King wore! http://tinyurl.com/tev2o
If you want to get attention, clothes are the way to go.
Bloody moonbats the lot of ‘em
Damn sharp dresser, but not much of a looker.
